***New Rule*** All Plays at UHC can be CHANGED
up until starting time of each sport. The UHC is a contest and your
plays are NOT locked in until the start of each game!
|
 |
ALL UHC Wagers are based on
amount RISKED, ie..lets use a bet based on 5 units...its as
though you went up to the table in Las Vegas and wagered $500.
| Yankees (-150) vs Orioles (+130) |
| Favorite Loses |
= -5 units |
| Favorite Wins (5/1.50) |
= +3.33 units |
| Dog Loses |
= -5 units |
| Dog Wins (5x 1.30) |
= +6.5 units |
|
 |
For UHC Major
League Baseball, MLB sides and totals are combined into one contest.
You have the option of selecting all totals, all sides, or
you can mix them up accordingly.
|
 |
For UHC Baseball,
there will only be ONE (1) category, MOST UNITS EARNED.There
will also be ONLY one (1) Grand Prize Winner who will receive $5,000
|
 |
The standings
can always be seen at www.ultimatehandicappingchallenge.com,
the official website(s) of the UHC. The UHC site will post weekly
as well as overall standings at our site as well as numerous
sites on the internet.
|
 |
Each selection
must be rated between one(1) and five(5) units. The units represent
the strength of the selection and is used to determine the amount
of points won or lost each week. PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ACCORDANCE
WITH OFF SHORE AND LAS VEGAS WAGERING, ALL WAGERS ARE BASED ON RISK
AMOUNT. YOU CAN RISK BETWEEN 1-5 UNITS ON ANY PARTICULAR PLAY. UNITS
ARE COMPARABLE TO DOLLAR AMOUNTS.
|
 |
A maximum
of up to fifty (50) units can be played each week. This is the
maximum but it is not required that your units add up to this amount.
|
 |
A minimum
of ten (10) units MUST be played each week (unless you pass).
Those that enter less than 10 units for the week will automatically
go down as a PASS regardless, but, ie, if you submit plays equalling
less than 10 units for the week and WIN, those games WILL NOT count
towards your score. If you submit plays equalling less than 10 units
for the week and LOSE, those games WILL count towards your score.
The objective here is to make sure that ALL services submit at least
10 units per week unless they go down as a "PASS".
|
 |
Additional
Major League Baseball Rules. Major League Baseball games are
official after 5 innings of play, or 4.5 innings if the home team
is leading. If a game is subsequently called or suspended, the winner
is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the
home team ties the score or takes the lead in the bottom half of
the inning. Then the winner will be determined by the score at the
time the game is called.
|
 |
When wagering
on total runs, the game must go the regulation 9 innings, or
8.5 innings if the home team is leading, otherwise it will constitute
a "No Action" play, and all selections will not count. Selections
on total runs will be "NO ACTION" if a pitcher change occurs prior
to both listed pitchers throwing at least one pitch
|
 |
UHC Baseball
plays are accepted as "Listed." In the event of a
pitching change prior to the game, all plays on a team are considered
"No Action".
NOTE: Each team's starting pitcher is defined for betting purposes
as the pitcher that throws the first pitch.
|
 |
Any Game that
is resumed the following day or any day thereafter as a continuation
of a previously started game is "NO ACTION" and does not
count.
|
 |
Any selections
on TOTAL RUNS Over/Under that tie (push) will not affect your score.
Although such games do NOT count towards your score, they WILL in
fact count towards your 10 units minimum per week and 50 units maximum
per week, ie, if you submit 10 units for the entire week and some
or all of those units are constituted as ties or pushes, you will
NOT be able to replay those units. The units count towards your
10/50 minimum and maximum requirement. The same applies to those
who have used up all 50 units, ie, if you submit 50 units and the
week has not ended yet and some of those units were used towards
a game that pushed on the total runs, you will NOT be able to re-use
those particular units.
|
 |
If for ANY
reason your selection is constituted as a NO-PLAY ( rain out,
pitcher change, etc), your selection(s) will obviously be void and
you will be able to re-use those units again. Example: if you selected
30 units throughout the week and the week has not yet ended and
5 of those units were a No-Play due to a pitcher change, rain out,
etc, you will be able to replay those particular units. Using this
example, you will only have 25 units recorded with the option of
selecting an additional 25 units by weeks end. (Please note: as
indicated above, the only exception is a game that ties or pushes
on the Total Runs Over/Under).
|
 |
If the week
has ended and you have submitted only 10 units (which is allowed),
and one or all of those selections have become void due to being
a No-Play for whatever reason (rain out, pitching change, totals
o/u push, etc, etc), you will NOT go down as a pass. Do not be alarmed
as the software program will pick this up. Although some of your
units have become void, the units that were live plays will be calculated
accordingly and you won't go down as a pass.
|
 |
The official
UHC Baseball week will run Monday through Sunday. Please select
your plays wisely as you must stay within the guidelines of 10 units
minimum per week and 50 units maximum per week. A suggestion if
you play many games per week is not to use up all of your selections
early in the week and to also give your plays a smaller rating per
play.
|
 |
Please note that once any UHC Challenge has started,
you CANNOT withdraw from the contest. This is strictly to protect
the integrity of the UHC. If you wish to drop out of the contest
for whatever reason after it has already begun, you must pass for
4 weeks and eliminate yourself. Your record will also remain at
the UHC site with the record that you have at the time of elimination.
|
 |
You may PASS three (3) times (meaning weeks) during the entire MLB
challenge... More than 3 passes for the regular season constitutes
automatic elimination, NO EXCEPTIONS. THERE ARE NO PLAYOFFS FOR
UHC MLB
|
 |
PLEASE NOTE
THAT ALL SELECTIONS ARE SUBJECT TO LISTED PITCHERS. IF THE PITCHER(S)
THAT YOU SELECTED ARE SCRATCHED FOR ANY REASON, THAT PARTICULAR
GAME BECOMES VOID (NO PLAY). AGAIN, FOR UHC PURPOSES, WE WILL USE
LISTED PITCHERS, NOT ACTION.
|
 |
The UHC Baseball
Challenge ends at the conclusion of the regular season, whereafter
the $5,000 prize
will be given out . We do NOT carry the playoffs.
|
 |
The Complimentary
plays are Free plays to the public and DO count as selections.
These are the ONLY games that are available to the public. All other
selections are available ONLY to other contestants right after the
games start.
|
 |
Once the line
is given out, it NEVER CHANGES. Everyone gets the same lines.
|
 |
Games that
are not up after you log-in are officially off the board for UHC
purposes.
|
 |
ALL selections
can be submitted right up until game time!
|
 |
If any contestant
is caught cheating or trying to abuse or take advantage of any glitch
that may unfortunately arise in the uhc software for any reason,
they will be disqualified immediately. No questions asked!
|
 |
If for any
reason you believe that your score is incorrect, please contact
the UHC office at the end of that particular week. Scores will
not be changed after a seven (7) day time frame. This applies to
all contestants.
|
 |
You must use
the UHC Software to submit all of your weekly selections. If
for any reason, the software is not functioning or the server is
down, please submit all of your plays via e-mail to support@nationalsportsmonitor.com
or please call the office at 516-883-4550 and leave your selections
on our voice mail. Please ONLY submit games via E-MAIL or phone
in the case of a technical emergency. When leaving your selections,
please remember to rate your selections 1-5 units. Although you
won't be aware of the line due to the fact that you were unable
to log-in, it will be calculated accordingly using the same line
for everyone as always.
|
 |
The
UHC roster is open until the end of week 3 of any sport. This
is due to the fact that everyone gets 3 passes and if a service decides
that they want to use their first 3 weeks to Pass, they are completely
within the rules to do so. |
 |
Free Picks Each handicapper
has the opportunity to submit one or all of his selections as a FREE
PICK that is complimentary to the public. The FREE picks are shown
on the FREE PICKS page before the games start at the exact moment
the service(s) select them. The best part of this feature is that
all FREE PICKS are real actual plays that do count as UHC selections. |
 |
We urge
you to read over the RULES AND REGULATIONS very carefully.
|
 |
All decisions
made by the UHC will be Final.
